There has been a slight change of plans to our Holiday Tour schedule. We were supposed to be headed out to L.A. this weekend for the Renegade Craft Fair, but have changed plans and will be going back to Chicago for the One of a Kind Show at the Merchandise Mart!
Details can be found here: http://www.oneofakindshowchicago.com/ I’ll be booth 1133!
Had a good day today! 5 emails in a row arrived in my inbox with the words “Your Acceptance to the 2012 Renegade Craft Fair…”.
So that’s it, folks. The day I’ve been waiting for. Now I just need to produce, produce, PRODUCE in order to have something to sell at all these shows!
Here are the dates in case you want to come see me:
Nov. 17-18: Renegade Brooklyn, 11am-6pm each day at the East River State Park (aka the Williamsburg Waterfront)
Nov. 24-25: Renegade Austin, 11am-6pm each day at the Palmer Events Center
Dec. 1-2: Renegade Chicago, 11am-6pm each day at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse
Dec. 8-9: Renegade Los Angeles, 10am-5pm each day at the Los Angeles State Historic Park
Dec. 15-16: Renegade San Francisco, Concourse Exhibition Center from 11am-6pm

We were OVERJOYED this summer to find a new home in Columbia at Swank Boutique. Last week we celebrated the fall debut with a DIY event at the shop in Downtown Columbia. We had an awesome turnout and loved meeting all the local LDD fans. We even got a surprise visit from the paparazzi! (see pics.)
Here a few snapshots from the show.
Big things have been happening and I’ve just now caught up with all of our special orders from Renegade Craft Fair. I can finally give you a solid report. As this was our first Renegade, we didn’t know what to expect. I had heard that it would be crazy, but was pretty skeptical. Well, I am glad to say that I should have heeded the warnings. Our booth was INSANE all weekend long. I could not believe the response we received from people who had never even heard of Lily Dawson Designs before! By day two our most popular products were completely sold out except for samples where we sold a ton of special orders. We had some great neighbors with adorable screenprinted goodies (Earth Cadets).
I cannot thank the Chicago community enough for welcoming me into their awesome crafty community with open arms. Because of this great response, I have decided to scale back the time I am spending at my “day job” to focus more on my jewelry. I just want to keep you crazy people happy!!
Here are some (very few, crappy quality) photos that I’ve stolen from friends’ iphones and the blogosphere. Thank you again, everyone. I have never been happier!

I spent a week with the gals from 1canoe2 helping with their booth at NYIGF. We had a blast exploring the city and filling our bellies with 4-star meals. Gibby came up for the last weekend and we took in the sights with my sister who lives in Brooklyn.
Hey guys,
I need an intern! If you are super creative and love LDD, join me
Paid internship available for crafty, organized and creative helper with Lily Dawson Designs. Immediate availability is necessary and must be available to work 15-20 hours per week. Interested applicants should email their resume, availability and paragraph describing themselves and their interest in working for Lily Dawson Designs to lily@lilydawsondesigns.com.
Thank you!
This was a true passion project with my neighbor. She was wanting a special necklace for a Seattle wedding coming up and sent me a picture of her dress. I have been wanting to make a really organic-looking piece with some shiny rocks and marquis rhinestones and used this opportunity as my experiment.
My neighbor (guinea pig) was super pleased with the end product and I have a feeling she’ll get a lot more wear out of it than just to this wedding.
Purchase the Pyrite Asa Necklace here.
The necklace is named after her year-old son, Asa. This is him at our garage sale. He’s pretty adorable!
*Offer expires Monday June 25, 2012
I always counted down the minutes in my boring math and science classes until Art would start. I’ve paid homage to those exciting periods lately in my designs.
I’ve been having so much fun dusting off my paintbrush lately, who knows what’s next!? Decoupage, anyone?
Handpainted Flame Necklace, $55
Painted Rhinestone Tier Necklace, $60 (in nude and multi)
Handpainted Cuffs: Elastic rows of rhinestone. Available in 3-row, 6-row and 9-row.
We just got word that LDD will be a vendor at this year’s Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago! I couldn’t be more excited to follow in the footsteps of my girls at 1canoe2, reppin’ Como at this awesome show!!

These were taken before my trunk show at Cha Boutique in St. Louis. I bought this cardigan on a whim in Boston on a girls trip. The ladies fondly refer to it as my “Blanche” sweater.
